sea dragon

this seadragon is only a few weeks old and already swimming in the ocean.

this is an OC for my book, may I mind you

anyway, this is my submission for the sea/water dragon contest of the group

ah yes, i won't win but it was fun to do

and i just had to draw my OC in its younger form

when it gets older, those flappy things on the head will shrink and the two claw things will stay

the dragon will also slowly grow a thumb

yes, you heard me right. a thumb.

now, this is a seadragon and yet it has wings

''wings don't have a use underwater'' is what you'd say!

ah yes, these are not just wings

as you can see, this dragon does not have the ''hand'' type of wing with ''five'' long fingers

this dragon only has one and for a good reason too.

the wings are made out of slightly altered [with magic] water.

that's right, this dragon flies with wings made out of water

the water of the wings are infused with magic which allows flight

this young dragon can't fly above water yet but it can use the wings underwater

oh yeah, almost forgot to mention.

this kind of sea dragon can actually breath above the water

why don't they live on land?

because their wings will evaporate and their legs will be too weak to walk on land

they'll strand and die of dehydration, hunger or a predator.
